New CIC Appoints Staff

Commander-in-Chief Dr. Anthony Hodges is pleased to announce the appointment of the following individuals as staff officers for the Sons of Confederate Veterans:

  • David Holcombe of Louisiana is appointed as the new Chief-of-Staff. Holcombe is a long-time member of the Louisiana Division.

  • Pastor John Killian has agreed to serve as Chaplain-in-Chief. Brother Killian is a long time member of the Alabama Division.

  • Walter Rivers of Virginia is appointed Judge-Advocate-in-Chief. Judge Rivers is a long time member of the Virginia Division and former Judge Advocate of the Virginia Division.

  • Jeff Massey will serve as Adjutant-in-Chief.  Adjunct Massey is a 23 year member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and has twice previously served on the General Executive Council.

  • John Perry of Texas is appointed Councilman of the Army of Trans-Mississippi. Commander Perry has previously served as National Heritage Chairman and as ATM Department Commander. This appointment comes at the recommendation of ATM Commander M. L. Cantrell.

Please extend a hearty congratulation to these men for accepting these staff positions, and for their many years of dedicated service to the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
