Resistance To The SCV Radicals/LoS Agenda Gathers Momentum

Anonymous letters have been sent around the Confederation to drum-up support for resisting the final radical take-over of the SCV that will likely occur at the upcoming Nashville convention. Compatriots in Arizona, North Carolina, Kentucky, California, Iowa, Alabama and Indiana have reported to Save the SCV that they have received letters urging them to attend the reunion and to vote "NO" on reincorporating the national SCV in Texas and "NO" on several proposed constitutional amendments. The letter contains an analysis of the Wilson/Sweeney-backed proposals for reshaping the SCV and concludes with this summation:

"What you have now is the "new old guard" with Sweeney and Wilson in front. Next you will get their hand picked, not elected any time recently but appointed twice, Lt CiC Christopher Sullivan as Sweeney's successor. Who is after him, will it be Dark or Casteel? You see, the new old guard have already decided for you who will be your CiC in 2006 as well as who ascends to their throne in 2008. They are also choosing candidates for department commanders and councilmen, and it will not stop. Isn't it funny how this is just like the old guard did it, picking and choosing who got elected to be CiC and got to serve on the SEC every two years? So, you thought you got rid of the tyrants? No, you merely traded one set of egotistical maniacs for a new group. Wake up!"

Some compatriots express suspicion because the letters are not signed. There is an obvious explanation for this: Whoever sent the letters and/or supports the writer’s sentiments, no doubt saw what happened to previous organized resistance to LoS-inspired radicalism within the SCV. Those who publicly opposed the Lyons/Wilson/Sweeney regimes in 2002-2005 were threatened, suspended, maligned, barred from meetings, removed from office, and in North Carolina, expelled. The most vocal opposition candidate in the 2004 election for CIC, Walter Hilderman, was denied admission to the business meeting at the Dalton convention and was threatened (by Burl McCoy and Sam Currin) with arrest if he tried to enter the meeting. (The outright lie that Hilderman refused to pay the reunion registration fee was then promoted by the new administration.)

Whoever wrote the unsigned letter and is responsible for trying to organize opposition to the radicals’ 2005 reunion agenda apparently wishes to remain in the SCV, be admitted to the convention, cast a vote, and NOT be tossed to the same mob that controlled the Concord, North Carolina, meeting.
